Brazil consumed 63,083MWa (average megawatts) of electric power in July, up 2.6% from the same period in 2021, according to electricity commercialization chamber CCEE.

Final energy consumption is expected to rise by 2.5%. The higher rate relative to the OIE will stem from reduced energy losses due to lower thermoelectric generation, a result of the recovery of hydroelectric generation.
For internal electric power supply (OIEE) of 2022, an increase of 3% is expected (2% in the national grid and a little more than 10% in self-production and distributed generation).

Scheduled for December 2, the tenders foresee the contracting of electric energy from existing projects, with supply starting on January 1, 2023 (A-1) and January 1, 2024 (A-2).
